Satisfaction of Joy
Unlike happiness, joy is true satisfaction. Several times, God’s Word describes joy as “full” or “complete.” Joy satisfies the heart in a way that temporary happiness never can.
In the English Standard Version of the Bible, the words “joy,” “rejoice,” or “joyful” appear a total of 430 times, compared with “happy” or “happiness,” which appear only ten times. Joy is lasting, and it satisfies the heart in a unique and marvelous way.
There’s a reason for Joy to be mentioned so many times! Work on changing your mindset.
How to Acquire Joy
Joy has to be acquired the same way we had to acquire food we didn’t like when we were kids. As kids we had to eat the food that we didn’t like every time it was placed in front of us, right? THE SAME WAY WITH JOY! We have to laugh and be joyful through the tough times even when we don’t feel like it. Though it may start out feeling awkward and silly, eventually it will be a taste to your liking just like the food eventually became a taste to our liking as kids.
JOY DESTROYS WHAT THE ENEMY SET OUT TO ACCOMPLISH…JOY OVERRIDES THE DEVIL!
Every time a negative thing happens in your life, don’t show a mad look or a sad look on your face. The devil sees it and it shows him that he accomplished what he set out to do and that is…TO STEAL YOUR JOY AND YOUR PEACE.
When we keep a joyful attitude even when we don’t feel like it…IT’S HOW WE FAKE THE DEVIL OUT AND HE CAN’T ATTACK YOU IN THE SAME AREA AGAIN! THIS IS HOW VICTORY IS GAINED!
When you have acquired the taste for JOY, IT WILL BE A NATURAL HABIT AND THE ENEMY WILL SEE YOU ARE A WASTE OF HIS TIME!
